Abstract   |   Authors   |   References
Social well-being is a socio-psychological concept reflecting the application of an interdisciplinary approach to studying social processes and phenomena. In Russian science, social well-being is traditionally seen as a ratio of the level of aspiration, expectation and the degree of their implementation, as an indicator of successful social adaptation to the changed conditions and its result. The structure of social well-being usually consists of emotional and cognitive components. When the category “social well-being” is developed there are still many unresolved issues, which necessitates further scientific development of the subject of research. The purpose of the article is to identify factors in social well-being in the post-crisis period (2016–2017). According to the author’s interpretation, social well-being is studied with the help of indicators of personal sentiment, patience, and life satisfaction. This is the main difference between the article and similar works on this issue. The study used methods of analysis, generalization, abstraction, and sociological survey. The obtained results are the following. First, despite the economic crisis of 2014–2015 which led to negative changes in the standard of living, the social well-being of the residents in the region remains stable. The key reason for such a situation is psychological: people get used to living in difficult economic conditions. Such adaptation is fraught with a number of threats (deterioration of physical health, reduced labor potential, etc.). Second, the analysis of social groups shows that the income level has the greatest impact on social well-being. However, other individual’s status characteristics (age, level of education, place of residence) also have a certain impact on it. The short-term prospect of the study: identify the impact of social well-being of the inhabitants of the region on their political attitudes
