Abstract   |   Authors   |   References
The purpose of the research is to analyze the features of education in the context of global pandemic and their perception by young people. The article considers connection between the semantic crisis of education and new forms of education in global and regional aspects (the case of modern Russian society). Application of the method of focused interviews allowed concluding that the translation of knowledge through distance forms is accompanied by a decrease in purposeful regulation in the higher education system in general and actualization of self-regulation mechanisms, in particular, in the student environment. In turn, it leads to a loss of the quality of training. Historically, the terminal value of education has prevailed in the Russian public consciousness. Social processes caused by globalization and temporary transition of education and upbringing system to the online mode strengthen the instrumental component of the attitude to education in the student environment (self-education, the ability to choose the format and content of training, often associated with combination of work and study or leisure and study). At the same time, there is a noticeable increase in distrust of traditional, classroom-contact form and the desire to switch to a more practical and convenient, from the point of view of young people, combined form after the end of the pandemic. The scientific novelty of the article proposed for consideration is manifested in a new typology of online education, the author’s definition of online education with an emphasis on the features that form its terminological scope and promotion of practical recommendations that allow preserving the value of classical education through introduction of modern elements of online learning into it. The authors propose recommendations that can integrate online and classical education without destroying its quality and usual practices of youth sociality
