S. Schultz, etc. Assuming that personnel’s satisfaction is an important indicator of the organization’s sustainable development, the author clarifies the importance of the practical study of this issue. Using the example of the Institute of Socio-Economic Development of Territories of the Russian Academy of Sciences the author presents the results of the experimental stage of the study of the employees’ satisfaction with their work on the following criteria: awareness of the results and development prospects for the institute, managerial style of the immediate supervisor, psychological climate, working conditions, wage supplements, salary, job content, opportunities for self-fulfillment, and career progress.
